If you have any questions about this please do get in touch. The approach to the venue has some steps and uneven surfaces. Do shout if you need any support or have any questions.

From Open Mic to Paid Performance - Workshop
A three hour workshop help you deliver the songs you love to song in the way that’s best for you and your audiences
Loads of us hone our craft at home and love taking it out to open mic nights to share our music with friends, family and other musicians and poets. This is often exactly enough for many people – playing the music that they love to an appreciative audience. This workshop is for those people and those who want to improve on their performance in those little ways that make you really shine.
Would you like..
· to feel even more confident when stepping up in front of the microphone
· your stage performance to be even more compelling?
· to make a bigger impact on your audiences leading them to admire what you do even more?
· your audiences to leave the pub thinking about what you’ve sung and said?
· to be considered charismatic?
· to consider developing towards support slots and maybe a paid performance?
In this workshop we’ll be helping you to develop…
1. how to make the stage area home – a comfortable welcoming space into which you feel invited
2. to understand what communicates the attitudes that you want to convey – confidence, warmth and the emotional elements of your performance
3. what to do with our bodies that helps us
4. how to manage our material
5. projecting our personalities into the audience in a way that delights and amuses them
6. managing the equipment that we need to perform

The workshop is to be led by Phil Jones. Phil has 50 years experience of performing in venues as varied as working peoples clubs and concert halls.
